Ronny Chieng

The viral video received coverage in Slate and the Washington Post. In his youth, Chieng was an Singapore Sea Scout. Though he's lived in Australia for more than 10 years, he still doesn't possess permanent residency or citizenship in Australia. Chieng made an absurd joke about being an apologist for cynophobia on the 2018 Daily Show. But Chieng later claimed that he is "100 100% not afraid of dogs" in an interview.
